Waterfurnace Geothermal 30x36x1 MERV 10 PowerGuard Air Filter (4PK) Cheap

The PowerGuard for WaterFurnace and is considered by WaterFurnace to be the OEM replacement 1 MERV 10 air filter for the Geothermal Comfort Systems that use a 30 x 36 x 1 pre-filter.

The replacement filters used with WaterFurnace units that use a 30 x 36 x 1 pre-filter must use a full 30 x 36 filter.  If you use a smaller filter sold by other manufacturers, your filter will not seal properly, and you could get unfiltered air leaking around the edge of the filter, this is called bypass. The 30361PG MERV 10 air filter is approximately 30 x 36 x 1 and is the size recommended by WaterFurnace for a proper fit.

This filter is technically 2 filters in one – taped together.

The 30361PG is made of 100% synthetic fibers that are needled together and then electrostatically charged to produce a MERV 10 rating.

Note: the AirGuard filters are no longer available which were rated at MERV 11, a slightly higher MERV rating to catch smaller particulate.

The manufacturer suggested replacement interval is 4 to 6 months, depending upon conditions and lifestyle. (Pets, Carpeting & active Children contribute to the need to change filters more frequently.)

We always recommend Germicidal UltraViolet (UVC) Lamps to mitigate any microbial growth. The Abatement Technologies CAP-500UV or CAP-500UVP Lamp system and or the ultimate Indoor Air Quality Product, the Central Air Purifier CAP-600UV(P) or CAP-1200UV(P) to add to your ducted system without straining your geothermal system.
